An Evening with Industry Experts and Public Authorities: What does MiFID II Mean for Commodity Market Participants?

Wednesday, June 14, 2017
Four Seasons Hotel at Ten Trinity Square

The upcoming implementation of the EU commodity derivatives position limits regime is one of the most challenging features of MiFID II for market participants and regulators. ESMA has finalised its guidance and the industry is now implementing this regime which in the UK only will cover about a wide range of commodity derivatives contracts on base and precious metals, soft commodities and energy.

Six months ahead of the full application of MiFID II, ISDA is pleased to host an event that allows a discussion between the industry and high-level officials from the European Commission, the European Parliament, ESMA and national regulators on the implementation of this entirely new European regime.

This event will also provide an opportunity to compare the EU and the US approach on the regulation of commodity derivatives markets.
