PROGRAM AGENDA

The debate around the role of smart contracts and distributed ledger technology in the derivatives industry receives ever increasing airtime. There are those who believe that deployment of these technologies is imminent, those who think it is some way off and those who are yet to be convinced. However, regardless of your view some fundamental questions remain, what are they and in what format could they be used in our markets? ISDA recently published a whitepaper that attempts to answer some of these questions and highlight some of the associated legal considerations. This event will provide an opportunity to hear from a panel of experts who will share their thoughts on the foundational work that ISDA is doing to facilitate the application of these technologies and explore in greater depth the legal implications.
